WAIVER FORM (ONLY IN FRENCH)

RULES

UPDATED: 2026-02-11

  1. Sunday games start at 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM respectively. Thursday games start at 6:30 PM.
  2. No new inning shall start after 12:00 PM (noon) during the first game on Sunday.
  3. No lateness is accepted; games start at the scheduled time. If a player is late, they constitute an automatic out. The captain may decide to scratch them from the lineup to avoid the out. A lineup change can be made before the start of the match to place a batter in the last spot.
  4. A lineup must be provided before every game to the umpire, scorekeeper, and opposing captain.
  5. A batter who is absent during their turn at bat will be automatically recorded as an out, unless they are removed from the game with no possibility of return until the next game.
  6. No minimum number of players is required to start a game.
  7. A female player must play in every game. If the team does not have a female player available, the team must play with 8 players. She may be on the bench for a maximum of 2 innings during the first 5 innings. She must play one of the 9 defensive positions during innings 6 and 7.
  8. If a team does not have a female player for a match, they will be assigned an automatic out at the 7th spot in the batting order.
  9. Wearing a helmet is mandatory at bat, on the bases, and in the on-deck circle.
  10. Each team must bring its own game balls, new and packaged, to start a game.
  11. If a team is absent without reasonable grounds, without giving at least 72 hours' notice, and without the approval of the opposing captain, they will be assigned a 7-0 loss.
  12. Games are 7 innings long.
  13. Maximum of 5 runs per offensive inning for the first 6 innings.
  14. The 7th inning is open; unlimited runs allowed.
  15. In the event of extra innings, the 8th inning begins with one out and a runner on second base. If the score remains tied after this inning, the game ends in a tie.
  16. Final standings will be determined based on wins. If there is a tie, standings will then be determined by point differential. If there is still a tie, standings will be determined by the results of the games between the 2 teams concerned (head-to-head). If there is still a tie, a random draw will be conducted.
  17. It is mandatory to slide at home plate on a force play. The umpire may judge a runner out if they do not slide. The catcher cannot block home plate. If they do, the run is awarded automatically.
  18. A player must have played 1 game in the LBSTA during the regular season to participate in the playoffs.
  19. If a pitcher has not played at least 5 games during the regular season, they will be limited to 4 innings per game in the playoffs.
  20. Stolen bases are authorized, with the exception of home plate.
  21. No base stealing is allowed when there is a 5-run differential between the two teams.
  22. If the ball leaves the field of play, one automatic base is awarded to the runner. If the ball leaves the field on a stolen base attempt at third base, the runner scores (comes home).
  23. When a female player is at bat, infielders cannot move in closer than their base, and outfielders must stay on the grass.
  24. Wearing a jersey in the team's color, baseball pants, and cleats is mandatory.
  25. No alcoholic beverages or drugs are tolerated on the field.
  26. Game balls must be those provided by the league only (Rawlings ROML).
  27. Wood bats authorized; no aluminum & composite.
  28. The pitcher must pitch from the third rubber. However, the umpire may suggest, without appeal, that the pitcher move closer at their discretion.
  29. If the next batter is not ready, the umpire has the authority to start calling strikes.
  30. A game becomes official once the 4th inning is completed.
  31. Home plate is part of the game. Meaning, if the ball is hit and touches home plate in any way, the ball is live.
  32. If the batter-runner omits touching a base during their run: The defensive team must give the ball to the pitcher. The pitcher must throw the ball to the player on the base where the fault occurred, and the player must touch the base. If the batter-runner has not returned to the base, respecting the order before the appeal, the umpire calls the batter-runner out.
  33. Player expulsion due to unsportsmanlike conduct is issued by the umpire and is final (no appeal). The sanction for a second offense during the current season or playoffs is a three (3) game suspension. The sanction for a third offense during the current season is suspension for the remainder of the current season as well as the playoffs of said season.
  34. No player may participate in a season or playoff game without having first completed the waiver form.
  35. All other rules are identical to those of Baseball Canada.
